The First Congregational Church of Hinsdale & St. Agnes Parish of Dalton, MA are supporting Boxes of Love for Mom in honor of Mother’s Day this year!
This Mother’s Day, our goal is to donate 25 Boxes of Love for Mom to 25 new mothers and their families – and with your help we believe we can reach that goal!
First Congregational Church of Hinsdale: Update: Thank you so much for your generous donations! See post under “Donations: Better Boxes to More Moms!”. While the First Congregational Church of Hinsdale is no longer (currently) accepting donations, we hope to collaborate together again in 2023 – thank you!
St. Agnes Parish, Dalton: Deadline Extended!: Please bring in any items you wish to donate as announced in the bulletin and by Father Chris. Boxes to collect the donations are at the entrances of the church. The best times to drop off donated items are either on Saturdays immediately following 4:00 PM mass or Sundays following 10:00 AM mass. Donations to be accepted there until further notice. (Location: 489 Main Street, Dalton, MA 01226.)

The following items would allow us to fill 25 Boxes of Love for Mom to provide to 25 new mothers and their families at a local hospital in Western Massachusetts. Hand-knitted items for all 25 boxes (infant hats, booties, and blankets) have already been collected. Please consider the following items:
- 25 new bibs
- 25 coffee/tea mugs
- 25 boxes of crayons (24 ct.)
- 25 small packages of diapers (32 ct. infant or size 1)
- 25 new infant clothing items (shirts, pants, pajamas, etc.; gender neutral colors are preferred as it makes the boxes easier to pack & label)
- 25 onesies
- 25 granola bars (individual)
- 25 jars of jelly (10 oz.)
- 25, 1.41 oz. Lansinoh Lanolin Nipple Cream for Breastfeeding
- 25 macaroni & cheese boxes
- 25 mini cereal boxes
- 25 composition notebooks
- 25 jars of peanut butter (16 oz.)
- 25 containers of playdough
- 25 receiving blankets
- 25 boxes of rice (small; ex. rice-a-roni)
- 25 boxes of tea (ex. 20 ct.)
- 25 individual containers of wipes (ex. 12 flip-top packages purchased in bulk & divided)
- New Request from “The Moms”: 25 chocolate bars (or other small packages of chocolates). To quote one new mom: “Adding a little chocolate would have made it perfect!” Here at Boxes of Love for Mom, we quite agree!
