Happy New Year & Thank You to Our Donors!

Happy New Year! Boxes of Love for Mom hopes you had a happy, healthy, and fun holiday season with your loved ones!

We had every intent of writing an update and a thank you letter to our donors in the beginning of January…and then got sucked into the post-holiday vortex! We hope everyone was equally busy enjoying quality time with family and friends and making space for some personal rejuvenation. You can’t pour from an empty cup!

An example of the contents of one of the pre-holiday donations! Look at that gorgeous, home-made, mermaid-themed bib and “blanket/tail”! We love our donors!

First, let’s start with the THANK YOU! The members of St. Agnes Parish, family, and friends have been so generous! We could not have done the most recent batch of Boxes of Love for Mom without you! Between the donations of infant clothing, toys, non-perishable food, personal care items, and beautiful, hand-made blankets, booties, hats, and dresses, we were able to put together another batch of 10 Boxes for the childbirth center. These were donated just prior to Christmas and the holidays (12/20/2022), as some of the items were holiday themed. We hope the new mom’s and their families felt the extra love!

THANK YOU for the donations that made this pre-holiday batch of Boxes of Love for Mom possible!

Boxes of Love for Mom plans to put together another batch of Boxes to donate around Mother’s Day 2023. We already have a fantastic head start, as St. Agnes recently donated another incredible batch of items! Family and friends also recently delivered more hand-made blankets and booties – we couldn’t be more grateful!

ANOTHER HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE, and we will gladly continue to accept donations of the following:

  • any hand-made, knitted items (blankets, booties, hats, clothing, etc.)
  • new bibs
  • coffee/tea mugs
  • boxes of crayons (24 ct.)
  • small packages of diapers (32 ct. infant or size 1)
  • new infant clothing items (shirts, pants, pajamas, etc.; gender neutral colors are preferred as it makes the boxes easier to pack & label)
  • onesies
  • granola bars (individual)
  • jars of jelly (10 oz.)
  • 1.41 oz. Lansinoh Lanolin Nipple Cream for Breastfeeding
  • macaroni & cheese boxes
  • mini cereal boxes
  • composition notebooks
  • jars of peanut butter (16 oz.)
  • containers of playdough
  • receiving blankets
  • boxes of rice (small; ex. rice-a-roni)
  • boxes of tea (ex. 20 ct.)

We are so in love with this Santa-themed, hand-made bib, hat, and blanket/sleep-sack set! Thank you all for making this absolutely phenomenal Christmas donation possible! We appreciate you sharing the love!
